AeroAstro
AeroAstro was founded in 1988 by the President and CEO, Dr. Rick Fleeter. AeroAstros heritage is one of engineering innovation, simplicity of design, reliability, and rapid space-readiness far above the industry standard. Specializing in micro and nanosatellites and related technologies, AeroAstros experience spans a range of capabilities from ultra-low-cost R&D programs using commercial components, to high-reliability programs using space-qualified components. For each of their programs, AeroAstro strives to find a balance between heritage, reliability, innovation and low cost that is appropriate for the program. AeroAstro has developed four complete spacecraft platforms, beginning with the pathfinding ALEXIS mission and followed by HETE, TERRIERS, and SPASE.

AeroAstro was founded in 1988 by Dr. Rick Fleeter to harness the power of microspace for both government and commercial applications. AeroAstro’s STPSat-1 is the first microsatellite built to specifically exploit the new ESPA (EELV Secondary Payload Adaptor) multi-mission launch capability. ESPA is a ring placed between a launch vehicle and primary payload which mechanically supports small secondary spacecraft. It provides launch accommodations for up to six small satellites.
