The Fargo-Moorhead Astronomy Club is an amateur oriented astronomy club serving members in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Their Club Information section has information on the club and how to join. A listing of upcoming events including meetings, observing nights, and public astronomy programs is available on their Event Calendar. The amateur astronomy community in the North Dakota and western Minnesota region is becoming a really stellar location with two great events: the annual North Dakota Star Party and the 2007 North Central Region Astronomical League Convention.
The North Dakota Star Party, held annually since 2003 at Cross Ranch State Park, has developed into the North Dakota amateur astronomy event of the year. The FM Astronomy Club is honored to be the host for the 2007 North Central Region Astronomical League Convention, or NCRAL, provides another exciting regional opportunity for people interested in astronomy. They are striving to schedule people from the upper Midwest region, to illustrate the astronomy, both amateur and professional, that can found here. Throughout the day, they will have solar observing opportunities and possible planetarium sessions.
