The Victorian Space Science Education Centre (VSSEC) is a specialist space-themed school education centre, established by the Victorian State Government to encourage excitement about the learning of science. VSSEC is conveniently situated in the grounds of Strathmore Secondary School and its inspiring spiral-galaxy shaped building offers an outstanding environment for hands-on learning.
Visitors to the centre have access to a theatre, computer suite, laboratory, mission control, Mars surface room and space laboratory. All areas within the centre contain the richness of technology necessary to generate the excitement and learning promoted by the centre’s programs. The establishment of the Victorian Space Science Education Centre is the realization of a commitment to create a unique learning environment for Victorian Students and Educators to inspire a passion for science.
